About The Position

The Kroger Spring Internship Program is a 15-week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Rotation dates: January 12 - April 24. Our program offers competitive pay, hands-on learning experiences, company exposure to senior leaders, and professional development opportunities. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, R, Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Solid understanding of HR concepts and principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in people analytics and HR technology.
  • Prior internship or coursework in HR analytics, organizational psychology, or data analysis.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Involvement in leadership and community activities.
  • Background in data analysis.
  • Coursework and/or practical experience with digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of automated predictive analytics and systematic reporting processes.
  • Provide actionable insights to company leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and HR business partners.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing data from various sources, including HR systems, surveys, and performance evaluations.
  • Clean and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee performance, turnover, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to develop and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for evaluating workforce effectiveness.
  • Support the design and implementation of surveys and assessments to measure employee satisfaction, engagement, and organizational culture.
  • Prepare visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Assist in conducting ad-hoc analysis and research projects as needed to support strategic HR initiatives.
