About The Position

Marriott Vacations Worldwide offers a comprehensive internship program at one of our stunning resort locations, available in 3- or 6-month durations. Interns will gain in-person, on-site work experience within a designated department, receive personalized guidance from experienced property leaders, and participate in exclusive sessions with senior company executives. Interns will also shadow different departments, conduct interviews with senior leaders, collaborate on meaningful projects, and connect with fellow interns through a dedicated social media platform.

Requirements

• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be actively pursuing a college degree at any level.
• Preferred majors include Hospitality or Business Management, but applicants from other disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• A valid driver’s license may be required, depending on the scope of the role.
• Interns must be able to perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Must be capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 10 pounds (25 pounds for Housekeeping) without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in housekeeping and learn the essentials of villa cleaning.
• Perform core tasks that ensure guest accommodations are clean and comfortable.
• Learn about the roles and responsibilities of other housekeeping roles.
• Observe and lead room inspections.
• Understand inventory control and supply ordering.
• Learn and apply brand-standard welcoming techniques in the front office.
• Assist guests during the check-in and check-out process.
• Handle daily front desk tasks and participate in problem solving.
• Learn the difference between ownership and nightly reservations.
• Observe the pre-arrival process for guests.
