Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
Follows the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes the American Nurses Association's (ANA) Nursing: Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.
Engages in clinical knowledge and practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practices professional communication, culturally congruent practice, ethics, and resource utilization.
Demonstrates leadership through collaboration, community involvement, and environmental health.
Pursues professional development through education of self and others, expansion of knowledge, and contribution to the professional/clinical specialty.
Engages in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and quality of practice.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

BSN degree.
Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
