Spray Technician
About The Position
The chemical technician, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, performs chemical and fertilizer applications on golf course properties including but not limited to greens, tees, fairways, roughs and landscape areas. The chemical technician is responsible for reading, understanding labels, maintaining complete, current and accurate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) within the designated locations, ensuring supervisors are informed of all quantities of materials applied after each application. This position may also be responsible for compiling preliminary reports of pesticide usage for the golf course superintendent.
