About The Position

The Spray Technician is responsible for making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. This includes detailed record keeping, inventory management, and maintenance/calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment. When there are no larger spray applications planned for the day, the Spray Technician will spend their day spot spraying selective or non-selective herbicides.

Requirements

  • Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required
  • A valid State issued Driver's License
  • Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines
  • Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds
  • A pesticide license is not required but preferred

Responsibilities

  • Making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent
  • Detailed record keeping
  • Inventory management
  • Maintenance/calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment
  • Spray selective and non-selective herbicides
  • Perform fertilizer applications on all playing surfaces
  • May help with other tasks on the golf course as directed by supervisor
