About The Position
Spray Tech Position Summary: The spray technician will report to the golf course superintendent and will oversee a comprehensive program of chemical and fertilizer applications. They will perform insect, weed and disease identification to the golf course and its related areas. The position will assist in directing associates that work in this area in a safe, effective and efficient manner to provide superior playing conditions, continuous development and a strong team environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel required.
- Must know how to perform research using the Internet.
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
- Ability to perform these operations and using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Valid Florida drivers license
- Florida pesticide operator license
