What you'll do As a Production Operator/Chemical Operator, you will be primarily responsible for managing the spray dryer process to ensure high-quality finished products for Selko's customers. Your core duties involve operating the spray dryer and all ancillary equipment, including feed tanks, pumps, valves, the fluidized bed cooler, vibratory screens, and conveying equipment. You must ensure the spray dryer feed meets quality specifications before drying and continuously monitor the finished product against customer specifications, helping to Own the production of quality Selko products. Who we're looking for We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Operator/Chemical Operator with over four years of experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will truly Own It, demonstrating the high standards necessary to manage the spray dryer process and ensure product quality for Selko's customers. This operator must Own the technical operation and maintenance of all specialized equipment, including ancillary components and conveying systems, while diligently logging production data. They must commit to gaining a working knowledge of process chemistry and proactively flagging deviations or opportunities for improvement to their supervisor, translating our purpose into daily action to drive progress. You'll also need: Technical Operation & Management: Skill in operating automated equipment and managing all ancillary spray dryer equipment, including pumps, valves, the fluidized bed cooler, and conveying systems. Process Chemistry Knowledge: Competency or ability to gain a working knowledge of process chemistry. Quality Control: Ability to monitor and ensure both the spray dryer feed and the finished product meet specified quality standards and customer specifications Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Skill in periodically inspecting and executing minor maintenance tasks on production equipment, and effectively signalling defects or deficiencies Documentation & Improvement: Competency in logging accurate data and information on production orders, and the ability to signal deviations and flag opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement. Requirements
