The Spotter will effectively and safely operate a tractor-trailer and/or straight truck to the designated area in the facility. As well as working in the warehouse and operating a stand-up forklift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 2 years prior experience of OTR driving experience or training school equivalent.
  • Certified Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
  • Must be able to operate or willing to learn a stand-up forklift.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter; be able to work independently and/or under direct supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented towards work instructions and documentation.
  • Have ability to listen to and follow directions.
  • Must be able to follow established procedures.
  • Must have a good attendance record.
  • Must be able to communicate in English both written and verbally.
  • Need to be able to adapt to changing conditions inside or outside the facility.
  • Must have the ability to work in all types of outside weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary.
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Must pass the Carl Buddig and Company Forklift Training and Evaluation Program on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Tractor-Trailer and/or straight truck in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested inside or outside the facility.
  • Always maintain safe work practices.
  • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
  • Responsible for spotting trailers in the yard.
  • Loading and unloading trailers and performing yard checks.
  • Spotter will also be required to help indoors and know how to operate a stand-up forklift, as the expectation is that the spotter will be working with warehouse/shipping/receiving.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
