About The Position

Essential to operations, trailer spotters operate a tractor at one of our facilities to move trailers from location to location on the property. While a class A CDL license is not required, trailer spotters are expected to pull long trailers around property and position them safely for loading/unloading by backing them into tightly spaced loading docks. Excellent driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail are required—higher pay based on skills and experience.

Requirements

• Trailer spotting or tractor-trailer experience preferred
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Move, spot, and stage trailers in yard and dock areas
• Back trailers into loading docks accurately and safely
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections
• Verify trailer numbers and readiness
• Follow all safety policies and yard procedures
• Communicate with shipping, receiving, and supervisors
• Maintain a safe, organized yard
