About The Position
The MJCC is open to everyone of all backgrounds! We provide a fun, teamwork environment and the chance to get to know and assist a diverse range of staff and members. Our facilities include a full-size gymnasium with basketball courts, a fully-equipped fitness center, racquetball courts, and an indoor Sportsplex that boasts a soccer field and robust soccer leagues, an indoor playground, and a gymnastics area. JOB SUMMARY: The Sportsplex Attendant is responsible to maintain, oversee and provide customer service in the Sportsplex facility.
Requirements
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED (required).
- Knowledge of customer service practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to field sports.
- Ability to project a positive, professional image
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a diverse workforce
- Ability to respond appropriately to question/concerns from other employees and the public
- Ability to work independently and make decisions within established procedures
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet participants and provide excellent customer service.
- Provide information specific to Sportsplex programs, and general information about MJCC operations.
- Answer questions and address concerns within the scope of authority.
- Ensure that the facility is properly maintained and is in safe working condition.
- Report hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Keep supervisor informed of needs, questions, and changes of the clientele.
- Enforce facility program policies.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Provide information specific to Sportsplex programs, and general information about MJCC operations.
- Answer questions and address concerns within the scope of authority.
