We need great people to fuel the engine. We succeeded thanks to a team of amazing people. They spend their days collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a wide range of live sporting events. If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of 'behind the scenes' support staff, you've got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience! Stats Perform summer internship program is a paid 8 week full-time internship. Interns work together and individually within the organization to gain valuable experience and make an impact in sports technology. Not only will Stats Perform Interns have hands on experience in their field of study but there are awesome perks too! There will be activities, training sessions with other Stats Perform employees, and an end-of-summer presentation.

Requirements

• Strong Writing Skills (we use AP style)
• Entering your Junior or Senior year in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree
• A passion for professional and college sports
• A broad knowledge of major U.S. sports, especially baseball
• Enjoy working on research or data projects
• Good awareness of social media and general marketing content
• SQL and Tableau skills are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Learn to use our in-house research tools and database to fulfil client requests
• Write and research Major League Baseball content to be used on our clients' telecasts as well as major digital platforms
• Assist in the development of our social media channels, mainly Twitter(X), to increase engagement and showcase our content
• Audit videos, screen shots and testimonials to create highlight reels to best market our products and services
• Help build our Documentation Library
• Work on other historical data projects as needed or per interest
• Develop a presentation for company executives about your experience as an intern with U.S. Data Insights
