About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. Role The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking an energetic and customer service-focused Sports Pub Host to join our restaurant team. This individual will greet, and seat members and their guests. The host will also assist other restaurant staff with ensuring members and their guests receive prompt, attentive, courteous, and efficient service while dining the club's Sports Pub and other restaurants.

Requirements

  • Restaurant hosting experience preferred though not required.
  • Possession of a valid food handlers and OLCC permit.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer/guest service.
  • Ability to interact with members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat members.
  • Take reservations.
  • Arrive at work in time to be on the floor for scheduled shift in complete uniform.
  • Complete all necessary side work and opening duties.
  • Conduct closing functions.
  • Demonstrate consistent and punctual attendance for daily shift meetings.
  • Ensure all timing standards are met either by accomplishing them personally or insuring that another member of the service team accomplishes them.
  • Properly use the point-of-sale system.
  • Engage in cleaning projects as assigned or necessary.
  • Maintain and correctly handle restaurant supplies (eg. menus) so that unnecessary wear and tear, breakage, and waste does not occur.
  • Immediately request management’s assistance as necessary for a service or food related problem.
  • Inspect the dining room and direct a server assistant to change the table linen or set a table as necessary.
  • Comply with all Club safety policies and procedures demonstrating safe work practices. Identify and report unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
