About The Position

The Senior Center Softball Umpire is responsible for officiating games, ensuring that all rules and regulations are followed, and maintaining a fair and safe playing environment for all participants. This position requires a deep understanding of the game, strong communication skills, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. The umpire will work closely with players, coaches, and other officials to facilitate a positive experience for everyone involved. The role may also involve training and mentoring junior umpires, providing feedback on performance, and assisting in the organization of games and tournaments.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of softball rules and regulations.
• Previous experience as a softball umpire or official.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Physical fitness to keep up with the game.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a recognized umpire association.
• Experience in coaching or playing softball.
• First aid and CPR certification.
