Requirements

  • Fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine or Shoulder & Elbow Surgery
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure (MD or DO)
  • Expertise in shoulder reconstruction and joint replacement techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • MD or DO with AZ license or eligible
  • ACGME ortho residency completed
  • BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Sports or Shoulder/Elbow fellowship preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a range of shoulder-related conditions, including sports injuries, trauma, and degenerative disorders
  • Perform advanced shoulder procedures such as total shoulder arthroplasty (anatomic and reverse), arthroscopy, and reconstruction
  • Manage all aspects of preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Collaborate closely with on-site physical therapy teams to ensure optimized patient outcomes
  • Optionally provide sports knee care and in-office procedures (e.g., ultrasound-guided injections)
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation within the EMR system
  • Participate in practice development and quality improvement initiatives
