If you’re looking for a purpose, you don’t have to look any further. The Central Branch YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic part-time volleyball instructor to join our team. The Instructor instructs program or group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old.
- Must possess strong human relations skills and the ability to communicate with participants and staff.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lead a group while maintaining structure and control.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in gymnastics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead: Monitor and track program participants; enforce all program rules and policies; and set up, tear down, and secure equipment.
- Motivate: Conduct and execute planned activities that encourage active participation and engagement among all participants.
- Inspire: Build effective, authentic relationships with members, helping them connect with one another and with the YMCA.
