About The Position

The Sports Information Director (SID) at Ravenscroft School is a full-time position responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive athletics public relations program. This role involves managing the school's athletics social media strategy, creating content, maintaining the athletics website, and serving as the primary media liaison for the athletics department. The SID will work closely with the Marketing and Communications department to ensure alignment with the school's brand standards while promoting the athletic programs across various channels.

Requirements

• College degree in sports management, sports communications, graphic design, or a similar field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in sports information management; three to five years preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in sports journalism and oral and written communication skills.
• Experience managing and working with press and media.
• Collaborative team player, self-starter, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Extensive skills in creating and producing graphics, videos, and photography for various platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience coaching an athletic team sport is a benefit.
• Knowledge of applications such as BoxOut Sports, Adobe Suite, Hudl, and Finalsite.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a comprehensive athletics public relations program.
• Manage the school's overarching athletics social media strategy and primary athletics social media accounts.
• Create and supply content including social posts, hype reels, and website content.
• Maintain a regular cadence of posts for Game Day, post-competition results, and senior night celebrations.
• Supervise all athletics team social media presences and provide training for coaches as needed.
• Manage and maintain all athletics website content, including rosters and team information.
• Support the creation and production of athletics communications, including press releases and newsletters.
• Schedule and coordinate sports photography/videography for varsity sports.
• Gather and compile statistical information on student-athletes and coaches.
• Cultivate relationships with sports media and serve as the primary athletics media liaison.
