About The Position
Share your love for the game and inspire the next generation! As a YMCA Sports Coach Volunteer , you’ll do more than teach the rules—you’ll help young athletes build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, T-ball, or baseball, or other sports , our coaches create a fun, supportive environment where every child can grow, learn, and belong.
Responsibilities
- Lead practices and games with enthusiasm and positivity
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development
- Be a mentor and role model for youth participants
- Communicate with families and Y staff to ensure a great experience for all
