About The Position

The Greater Vallejo Recreation District invites applications for the position of Sports Coach/Facility Attendant Recreation Leader in the Recreation Sports Department. This part-time position is located at the GVRD Sports Gym in Vallejo. The role involves performing a variety of tasks to support GVRD and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests while leading recreation activities and special events. The position is open until filled, with a salary range of $16.50 - $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Some experience with recreation programs, youth, and the public is desirable.
• C.P.R. and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date.
• Must be minimum 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record daily entrance fees and concession fees; record payments using the CivicRec Software; issue receipts.
• Register the public for Sports Programs.
• Resolve conflicts among guests; respond to the public's concerns and/or issues.
• Monitor activities within the Sports Gym and/or outside the Sports Gym.
• Provide information to the public.
• Report need for inventory of equipment and supplies to the Recreation Coordinator.
• Perform first aid as necessary.
• Report directly any safety concerns and/or conflicts to the Recreation Coordinator.
• Assist in the janitorial duties and upkeep of the Sports Gym.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
