About The Position

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Sports Camp Supervisor will assist with daily logistical and administrative responsibilities that will ensure the smooth running of the Summer Sports Camp. Collaborate on Children' programming activities. Directly supervises a large team of AMUSE casuals.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in administrative procedures
  • Ability to recognize, address and deal with difficult situations involving campers and non-campers
  • Experience with summer camp operations
  • Supervisory experience necessary
  • Undergrad or working towards a degree in Education/Physical Education
  • Familiar with facilities operations, including but not limited to building hours, fire alarm procedures, and evacuation procedures.
  • French and English required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Children’s Programming and Internal Events Manager in the planning, preparation and streamlining of the 2026 Summer Sports Camp
  • Directly supervise AMUSE casual staff (Sports Camp Team Leads, Sports Camp Instructors, Sports Camp Specialists), oversee their work and assist in their training as required.
  • Serve as the on-site main contact to team leads for any issues or inquiries from parents.
  • Manage staff and camper injuries/mishaps. Involve the Winsor therapist on staff for medical assistance. Record incident details promptly.
  • Ensure administrative documents are maintained up to date, including attendance rosters, t-shirt distribution lists, bunk lists and weekly schedules.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process of the camp instructors, camp leads and camp sports specialists.
  • Record daily staff absences, arrival and departure times.
  • Verify and prepare payroll documents for approval and, when necessary, serve as a delegate in the manager’s absence to approve hours in Workday.
  • Perform 2 staff evaluation sessions throughout the summer.
  • Collaborate with the Communication department to create notifications/announcements for parents and work with the Client Experience office to have these sent out promptly to parents.
  • Note the expected number of working hours from Monday to Friday is: 5 hours between April 7 and June 14 40 hours between June 15 and July 31
  • Adhere to the protocols outlined by the Quebec Camp Association.
  • In order to be considered for this position, the selected candidate is required to successfully pass their criminal background check.
