KEYC News Now is looking for a passionate and energetic Sports Anchor/MMJ who knows how to go after the big, "local" sports story. We are in the heart of Minnesota Vikings & Twins country, with the Twin Cities only being an hour away. We don't want someone who only covers professional and college sports or reads national highlights. We focus on local sports - with three area colleges and a successful Friday night show dedicated to prep sports, there's no shortage of good content. Did we mention Mankato is home to the Minnesota State University, a Division I hockey program? KEYC is the television broadcast partner for the men's and women's home hockey games, along with football. We also broadcast a weekly 30-minute broadcast dedicated to Minnesota State University athletics on our local and regional sports channel. We're looking for a creative, outgoing sports journalist who knows how to put together compelling, LOCAL sports stories and features. The ideal candidate will also be a team player and be able to communicate effectively with management, staff, KEYC News Now viewers, and our community.
