Job Summary:
Provides customer service, structure, and organization to group sport and activity areas in the clubs as well as supporting league functions.
Sells retail and other products and services
Updates member/guest/league database
Monitors and reports any member/guest/league issues to supervisor immediately
Assists member by assigning structure and coordination to popular amenities in the club such as rock climbing wall and basketball courts
Ensures member’s use of group sport areas is safe and organized based on signup sheets, total time used, or other criteria
Completes incident report in a timely manner
Assists in maintaining cleanliness of club by re-racking weights and assisting other coworkers with other maintenance duties
Adheres to opening/ closing process and checklist
Conducts locker room checks to ensure a clean club
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Communicates verbally and in writing
Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
Other tasks as assigned
Degree: H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus 3 months experience in retail/sales/hospitality/sport leagues preferred
Ability to use customer service skills.
Knowledge of basic health and fitness machinery and concepts, ability to quickly adapt to new technology and use of computers and programs; ability to understand, communicate, and enforce safety practices; knowledge of general team sport regulations preferred, CPR/FIRST AID/AED certified
