About The Position
The Sports Coordinator for Baseball/T-Ball at i9 Sports is a pivotal role designed to enhance the overall experience for players and coaches within the organization. This position is centered around building strong relationships with players, parents, and coaches, ensuring that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are effectively delivered. The Sports Coordinator will be actively involved in practices and games, working hands-on with all age groups and skill levels. This role is not just about overseeing activities; it is about fostering a fun and engaging environment where young athletes can thrive. In this position, the Sports Coordinator will empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions that focus on fundamental skills, development, and enjoyment of the sport. The coordinator will also be responsible for teaching and demonstrating core concepts, including the values of sportsmanship. On game days, the Sports Coordinator will supervise the overall operation of the designated sport, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that all participants have a positive experience. A consistent demonstration of a positive attitude and superior customer service skills is essential to this role, as it directly impacts the enjoyment and satisfaction of the players and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge. They should be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems as they arise. The ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players is crucial. Additionally, the Sports Coordinator must have a positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships with all stakeholders involved in the sports program. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and some evenings throughout the season, which typically lasts around seven weeks.
