About The Position
The Sport Clubs Coach II (Tennis) is a non-exempt position responsible for the coaching of the assigned Tennis club(s). Duties General : Responsible for coordinating practices; home and away competitions; and tournaments. Must be able to teach a wide array of participants from beginners to experienced high school and collegiate athletes. Properly instruct fundamentals and technique. Administrative: The coach will assist club leadership with short and long-term goals and a plan of action for the academic year. Performs other duties as assigned to support the department, division, and university.
Requirements
- two years’ experience coaching at the youth, high school, junior college or collegiate club level and be a High School Graduate/GED
- effectively communicate with a diverse student population
- demonstrated leadership skills
- organizational skills
- experience commensurate with coaching at the collegiate club level
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
