We are currently recruiting for a compassionate Hospice Spiritual Counselor to reliably serve patients throughout Bucks and Montgomery county. This is a per diem position. As a Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Hospice Spiritual Counselor you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Counseling preferred or have graduated from an approved divinity school.
  • One year of experience in a spiritual counseling capacity in a health care setting, preferably hospice or palliative care.
  • Must be willing to travel coverage area of office.
  • Ability to travel to cases as assigned
  • A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to deliver patient care as you would want those you love to be treated, with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous home healthcare experience welcomed, but not required. We will train you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and adhere to the client's spiritual care plan.
  • Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members.
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Must demonstrate an appropriate attitude.
  • Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community.
