Requirements

• Ecclesiastical Endorsement required at time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Human Behavior or a related field preferred.
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency spiritual care coverage, under supervision of designated spiritual care leader, specialist, or board certified chaplain.
• Assesses, provides, and documents emergent spiritual care in rural settings.
• Provides on-call spiritual support in emergent situations such as deaths, crisis, and trauma.
• Provides community spiritual support and connects back to community resources, as appropriate.
• Refers all spiritual care encounters back to board certified chaplains or specialist for follow-up.
