1.0 ESENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 1.1 Operate Spice Room as necessary to relieve absent or on-break Spice Room Associates (which would include) 1.1.1 Set up, run and safety operate Spice Room machines including: 1.1.1.1 Kettle Room 1.1.1.1.1 Verify no changes made to the Production Set Up sheet 1.1.1.1.2 Transport ingredients into Kettle Room 1.1.1.1.3 Verify ingredients being transferred match the ingredients listed on the Spice Room Log 1.1.2 Before starting (for all machines) verify all guarding is in place 1.1.3 At end of shift (for all machines) ensure that have been cleaned and flushed 1.1.4 Verify information provided for the daily production run and location for each brine mixture created 1.1.5 Retrieve Production Set-up from Production Manager 1.1.6 Obtain samples and have sample reviewed to ensure proper ranges 1.1.7 Record ingredients used and PH, sugar and salt ranges in clear and legible handwriting 1.1.8 Retrieve and maintain product quality forms and checklists for the QA Lab, including the Spice Room Log 1.1.9 Monitor production line to ensure spices are being transported (pumped) correctly from Spice Room 1.1.10 Must be able to work independently in hot environment 1.1.11 Complete all necessary paperwork 1.2 Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all Spice Logs including verifying data is correct and legible before end of shift 1.2.1 Ingredients 1.2.2 Temperatures 1.2.3 Gallons 1.3 Conduct training of new associates and cross training of other associates 1.4 May require becoming forklift certified in order to retrieve ingredients from warehouse 1.5 Other duties may be assigned
