The Speech Therapist position at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital involves evaluating and treating patients with speech-language therapy needs. The role requires maintaining clinical records, educating patients and families, and assisting with departmental maintenance and performance improvement projects. Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patient populations for speech-language therapy needs.
• Provides direct patient care and maintains clinical records.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans.
• Performs skill proficiency requirements as related to experience.
• Aides with department maintenance.
• Utilizes equipment and materials according to standards and identifies new resources for budget formulation.
• Assists with statistical data collection for performance improvement projects.
• Supervises SLP students completing clinical rotations.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology or related field required upon hire.
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire.
• Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment.
• No experience required.
