Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to speech and language disorders.
• Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy.

• Assist the physician in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treat patients to enhance their communication abilities according to their conditions.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in areas of speech therapy.
