About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist I (SLP I) reports to the Clinical Manager of Speech Language Pathology. The SLP I is responsible for the provision of treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing and related disabilities. This position provides services to the following populations: Pediatrics & Adults, Inpatient and Outpatient. The Speech Language Pathologist I (SLP I) reports to the Clinical Manager of Speech Language Pathology. The SLP I is responsible for the provision of treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing and related disabilities. This position provides services to the following populations: Pediatrics & Adults, Inpatient and Outpatient.

Requirements

  • master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • current Intern Licensure in SLP by the State of South Carolina required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider also required
  • current Licensure in SLP by the State of South Carolina required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider also required
  • Postgraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an ASHA accredited program.
  • Clinical Fellowship Year eligible or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), less than one year of experience, and current SC state licensure required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
