Evaluates and treats patient populations for speech-language therapy needs according to appropriate competency levels. Requirements

• No experience required
• Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology required upon hire OR Master's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
• SLP - Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, maintains clinical records, and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans.
• Performs skill proficiency requirements as related to experience.
• Aides with department maintenance.
• Utilizes equipment and materials according to standards and identifies new resources desired for projected budget formulation.
• Assists with statistical data collection for performance improvement projects.
• Assists the supervisor with graduate student supervision by supervising SLP students completing clinical rotations.
