  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents' speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident's needs and goals
  • Administer therapeutic interventions, such as speech exercises, language stimulation activities, and swallowing techniques
  • Provide patient education and guidance to residents and their families on communication strategies and techniques
  • Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of resident care in compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated care
  • Participate in care planning meetings and provide recommendations for resident care and discharge planning
  • Maintain an average “Patient Care Time” (productivity) of > 82.5%
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Experience in geriatric speech therapy or a senior living setting (preferred)
