About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the following: 1- Delivery of treatment services to children ranging in ages from 0-21 years 2- Evaluation services 3- Job-related department responsibilities This position is Per Diem- hours/schedule based on the needs of the Clinic. Position Functions and Responsibilities Provide treatment for patients ages 0-21 Perform on-going therapeutic feeding services as assigned Supervise graduate students or CFY candidate as assigned Conduct initial Speech Language evaluations and re-evaluations as assigned Conduct oromotor feeding assessments as assigned Conduct annual hearing screenings of children on caseload Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to: -daily notation of therapy -all progress reports with updates -rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences -other activities that may be assigned from time to time, i.e. splinting Comply with established ESCR policies and procedures re: quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments etc. Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology with ASHA (American Speech/Language &Hearing Association) current CCC status.
  • Must maintain license in good standing.
  • CPR Certification
  • 2 years’ experience in clinical pediatric environment
