Speech Therapist (VR Specialist)

Requirements
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with older adults
- Multi-state licensure
- Strong experience with adult and geriatric diagnoses (e.g., stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, mild cognitive impairment)
- Comfort with digital platforms and enthusiasm for technology-enabled care delivery
- Ability to manage a higher-volume remote caseload with strong clinical judgment and organization
- Private home office with reliable internet
Nice To Haves
- Prior telehealth experience with older adults
- Background in neurorehabilitation or cognitive-communication therapy
- Experience using outcome measures or analytics to guide treatment decisions
Responsibilities
- Perform virtual evaluations to determine older adults’ appropriateness for at-home VR-based speech therapy
- Develop individualized plans of care targeting cognition, language, speech, voice, and functional communication
- Provide ongoing clinical oversight, progress monitoring, and plan-of-care modifications using outcome data
- Conduct follow-ups, re-evaluations, and discharges with functional, quality-of-life–driven goals
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with medical and facility standards
- Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
