About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist examines and evaluates patients, developing effective treatment plans appropriate for the patient condition. The Speech Language Pathologist measures patient progress, modifies treatment plans and educates the patient to produce optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Current Florida license as Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (effective March 1, 2018).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (required at hire or transfer into role).
  • Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute care, Outpatient, SNF).
  • Experience obtained during fellowship applies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Video Swallow Studies, Speaking Valve, Voice Prosthesis and FEES preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and evaluate patients to develop effective treatment plans.

  • Educate patients to ensure optimal outcomes.
