Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited University.
• Experience performing and interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies for both inpatients and/or outpatients.
• Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required.
• Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques.
• Establishes, implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care.
• Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
• Documents accurately, completely, and timely with legible handwriting.
• Charges patient accurately, timely and legibly according to guidelines of the CPT code format.
• Identifies the need for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching.
• Meets at least 90% of productivity standards.
• Practices principles of employee and patient safety when performing daily job activities.
• Handles and disposes of hazardous waste following established protocol.
• Complies with FH Compliance Plan, rules and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies.
