About The Position

The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing speech therapy services in accordance with the physician's written orders. This role requires maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. The therapist interacts daily with patients, family members, and agency personnel, and regularly with physicians. They are directly accountable to the Team Clinical Manager and the Director of Clinical Services, functioning within agency and unit policies and procedures. The therapist must manage their own time productively and independently, complying with attendance and reporting requirements. Knowledge of state therapy laws and relevant regulations is essential, as well as conflict resolution techniques and customer relations skills. The therapist must understand all agency services and referral systems, possess knowledge of community resources, and demonstrate expertise in communication and interpersonal relationships.

Requirements

  • At least six months experience in a home health or healthcare setting, or completion of an accredited Master's level Speech/Language Pathology program.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competency or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function in an office setting and perform physical tasks.
  • Good hearing and eyesight.
