About The Position

Serves as a professional speech language pathologist to conduct assessments/evaluations for children; run specialty clinics in the center and community. Participate as needed in developing, communicating and monitoring developmental outcomes; Serve as a coach/technical liaison with the team. Conducts developmental evaluations across all domains; Interprets evaluation and assessment results and maintains appropriate records; Provides trainings and support groups to families; Provides trainings to staff, school personnel, therapists and professional organizations. Provides mentorship and training to speech and language interns. Conducts developmental evaluation and assessments across all domains (cognitive, self help/adaptive, fine and gross motor, communicative and social/emotional as part of a multidisciplinary team, using standardized tools, curriculum-based assessments, and naturalistic observations to develop informed clinical opinion. Requirements

  • Masters degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology.
  • Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance within accordance with Section 468, Florida Statutes. and Rule Chapter 64B20, F.A.C.
  • Must have active Florida License as a Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with Section 468, Florida Statutes. and Rule Chapter 64B20, F.A.C.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year experience working with children.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university/college with certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) issued from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Knowledge and skill in administering, analyzing, interpreting, and explaining evaluation/assessment results to peers, other professionals and families.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously verbally and in writing.
