About The Position

Will provide direct and indirect patient care as a speech language pathologist throughout the Erlanger Health System. Will ensure appropriate staffing patterns at all locations served by Children’s Therapy Services in order to meet productivity standards. Act as liaison between Director, contract services, and physicians. Responsible for compliance, chart audits, and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• M.A./M.S. from an accredited School of Speech Language Pathology.
• Tennessee Licensure Speech/Language Pathologist.
• BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
• Certified Clinical Competency.
• 5 years experience with pediatric population and pediatric swallow studies.

Nice To Haves

• Management experience in acute care/outpatient setting.
• Management experience to include productivity standards, billing and reimbursement, JCAHO compliance, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all employee records.
• Meet with Director at regular intervals.
• Expand the role of the department within the community.
• Manage clinical responsibilities for assessment and treatment of infants and children between birth and 21 years of age.
• Maximize utilization of all resources to best serve patients, families, and the medical community.
• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning.
