Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate fundamental clinical information to patients and caregivers.
• Occasional/frequent lifting of up to 75/100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, frequent walking, stooping, and squatting required.
• Fine hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination necessary for the role.
• Ability to receive and communicate oral and written information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist therapists with patient care under direct supervision.
• Administer treatments or procedures as delegated by the therapist, including therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
• Transport patients and assist with functional activities and various treatment modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Maintain and distribute linen and ensure cleanliness in the department.
• Complete routine documentation duties accurately and efficiently.
• Assist department managers with various tasks or specific projects as needed.
• Promote individual professional growth and development through continuing education and skills competency.
• Model Memorial Hermann's service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences.
