About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing. This is a casual position which will require two weekend shifts each month.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain productivity standards.
  • Prepare necessary time records.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (OSHA, TJC, CMS).
  • Pursue professional growth and present educational programs.
  • Perform job responsibilities in line with the organization's mission.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and professional records.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, including HIPAA and Corporate Compliance.
  • Provide appropriate speech pathology treatments and diagnostic services.
  • Compile and report accurate data for program needs.
  • Coordinate evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
