About The Position

This is a Full-Time Day position located at Ball Memorial Hospital. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation team. Experience in feeding therapy for infants through age 13 or a willingness to learn and grow in this specialty is preferred but not required. This role also includes providing speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients and may offer opportunities for advanced training in our NICU program. Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

Requirements

  • Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in speech pathology or if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
  • Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
