About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our SEQ North team, working directly within our early learning centres to deliver integrated, evidence-informed support that strengthens communication, emergent literacy, and social development outcomes for children aged birth–5. This is not a clinic-based role. You will work in natural learning environments, embedding speech pathology expertise into daily routines, play experiences, and educator practice. Partnering with Centre Leadership Teams, Educators, families, and external stakeholders. Your work will not only support individual children—it will build long-term capability within centre teams and create sustainable impact.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation and coaching skills
  • Strong understanding of child development (Birth-5 years)
  • Ability to document, analyse and report on relevant key performance indicators
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen communication-rich environments across centres
  • Coach educators to confidently identify and respond to developmental concerns
  • Support targeted planning for children with developmental delays or disabilities
  • Build strong referral pathways with paediatricians, Early Childhood Partners, and allied health providers
  • Facilitate collaborative multi-agency meetings to support shared goal setting
  • Help families navigate community supports and services
  • Contribute to inclusion planning and continuous practice improvement
