About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States, providing care exclusively to children from before birth through young adulthood. It is an independent, not-for-profit system serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics, and seven rehabilitation sites. Children’s Minnesota is recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of 2023’s Top Diversity Leaders. The Speech-Language Pathology department specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with a range of diagnoses, including cleft palate, voice disorders, and difficulties with speech, cognitive-linguistic skills, feeding and swallowing, and language. Care is provided at facilities in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Woodbury, Roseville, and Eden Prairie. This position is responsible for the evaluation and provision of speech therapy services to children, including accompanying written documentation and verbal communication for care administration and provider orders. The role also involves providing patient/family/caregiver, staff, and student training, maintaining a safe and clean environment, ensuring proper care for departmental equipment, managing time effectively, and promoting satisfaction among patients/families, providers, and within the department. All duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior. This is an inpatient position based in Minneapolis, with the potential to float to other hospital sites depending on patient census and demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited speech language pathology program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or in Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Minnesota Department of Health license
  • BLS Certification
