The Speech-Language Pathology department specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with a range of diagnoses from cleft palate to voice disorders. In addition they also evaluate and treat children who may have difficulties with speech, cognitive-linguistic skills, feeding and swallowing, and language. Care is provided at the following facilities: Minneapolis, St. Paul, Woodbury, Roseville, and Eden Prairie. This position is responsible for the evaluation and provision of speech therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior. This is a casual Speech position based out of the Minneapolis inpatient setting, with the potential to float to other hospital sites to meet patient demand. There may also be opportunities for outpatient training and coverage, if interested.
