Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school Required
- CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Required
- Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC Required
Responsibilities
- Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia
- Interpreting assessment data
- Planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential
- Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric
- Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers
- May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
