Requirements

• A completed Master’s degree.
• Current VA Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by ASHA preferred.
• Completes obligatory hospital in-services and continuing education for licensure.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate activities suited to patient’s physical, mental, and social abilities and adapts program in response to patient and/or family goals.
• Schedules patients, or assists secretary with, in relation to customer service policy.
• Supervises students as needed.
• Documents patient treatments daily, submits quarterly status reports, and completes D/C summaries.
• Demonstrates proper respect and attitude towards customers and co-workers. Displays courtesy, professionalism and sound communication skills.
