Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff. Must have direct acute care hospital experience. Be proficient in completing Modified Barium Swallow studies. PRN mainly for weekend coverage (2-4 weekend shifts per month) and during times of high volume/call outs/vacation coverage. Will be required to work min 1 holiday per year.
