A licensed speech-language pathologist employed by Erlanger Health System is responsible for direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation of the patient. Provides age-appropriate evaluations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Therapist may provide evaluation and treatment to a variety of pediatric patients including but not limited to language delay, articulation disorders, auditory processing, autism spectrum disorder, craniofacial, and treatment of hearing impairment. May provide evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders, feeding difficulties, and perform video-fluoroscopic swallow function studies. Establish good rapport with parents and provide recommendations for carry over of therapy in the home setting. Therapist will maintain accurate written reports and data. Serves as clinical instructor for Speech-Language Pathology students as needed. Participates in continuing education programs. Participates in community education. Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement efforts of the department and the Medical Center. Maintains standards as set down by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics.
