About The Position

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and clinical judgement required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
  • Provide educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
