About The Position

The Speech Pathologist I position at Sharp HealthCare involves providing a complete range of speech-language-cognitive services. This includes conducting evaluations, planning, directing, and administering therapy modalities of treatment as a licensed and certified speech pathologist. The services are accessible to SRS members and the community at large upon appropriate medical or professional referral. The practice is conducted in an ambulatory setting as part of the Rehabilitation Services department.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship/Required Professional Experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification.
• California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and administer therapy modalities of treatment.
• Maintain ASHA certification and complete continuing education professional hours.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide quality services.
• Consult with physicians and colleagues about clinical diagnoses and therapeutic progression.
• Document clinical evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
• Participate in departmental meetings and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide mentorship and training to staff and students.
